I've been trying to decide what to make my 2 best friends this year. It suddenly came to me; One's favorite animal is a tiger, the other a lion, & mine a bear.
So I wanna make a lion, tiger, and bear that look like they go together. We all live in different places, so it's gonna be like, every time you look at your animal, you can think of the other 2.

I went on Lion Brand's site & found a pattern for a bear and a lion that obviously go together... but no luck with the tiger.
I've just started crocheting recently, so I don't feel comfortable enough to just make my own tiger in that fashion.

So, has anyone come across a lion, tiger, and bear that look like a set? Or has anyone made a tiger in the fashion linked above?

Any help is SUPER appreciated! Thankss!

So, one of my aunts gave me a baby blanket for my son using the crazy or brich stitch, but hers has the blocks of double crochets straight, not diagonal. Does anyone know how she got the squares straight and not at a 45 degree angle?

I'm still working on the Betty shrug by Berroco (size in parentheses), and i've hit another snag.

I'm working on round 1 of the collar and I've come across something really bizarre. For the first half of the round, I got my 72 double crochet cross-over thingies, but on the second half, i only have room for 70. WHAT. maybe in the pattern they meant to make 71 of those cross-overs instead of repeating them 71 times? I think that puts the 3 straight dcs off from the rest of the seam, but maybe it's a compromise? I cant figure any other reason for the inconsistency because each half of the round should have the same amount of dc row ends...

any suggestions, hookers?

EDIT: hmmm, maybe it has something to do with the foundation row only having 291 sc instead of 294. man, if only each half round didn't take a solid hour to do...

Ok, so a couple of people asked about how to add a guitar pick edging to something.

How it was done )

So about that pattern of the goldfish from the other day. My mother has started making it. I haven't but she is having problems with row nine on the tail. She just wanted me to use my 'internet magic' as she says, she doesn't know about LJ, and see if someone knows what to do. The translation from google says to the increase in reverse 17 pt (17 st) to form a "sheet", make up the tail end. If someone has any idea what this means or can help I'd appreciate it.

Hi guys

I would like some help finding a good pattern to crochet slippers for BOYS.

All the patterns I've seen seem very feminine.... All my friends have young boys and I certainly don't want to give slippers that they think are girly ;-)

Can anyone help?

Do you use anything special to store/carry around your yarn/projects that you are working on? I've been thinking I need some sort of basket or something. The only thing I've ever used is plastic bags which gets annoying because everything slides around and gets all messed up. A nice sturdy carrying case of some kind would be sweet. Is there somewhere that sells things specifically for this purpose? I'm sort of new to this. Thanks!

Bon Scott & Angus Young of AC/DC live at the Marquee, London 1976!

EDIT!
Someone asked about the size, it's 1 metre x 1 metre (approx)
Here's a picture to convey -_^

Just quietly, how awesome is my new shampoo! Can't get over the shine! lol

Please excuse the wonkyness of the picture! My fingers are sore, eyes are cross-eyed, but I just had to get it done!
I seem to have lost a sock in the process as well.....weird...
I'm ecstatic that the grey palette came up as well as it did ^__^!
When my eyes re-adjust i'll be sure to take a better snap of the piece!
Time for me to let my hand catch some zzz's!
For those who have been keeping an eye out for any more Harry Potter panels - a certain lovable giant will be with us soon -_^!

I finished another of the Christmas presents.
Last year I made up a pattern for a hearthstone pillow
and made it for my boyfriend's younger sisters,
but I didn't feel up to making another pillow this year
for my boyfriend's sister's boyfriend, SO...
I made a handheld Hearthstone instead.
I think it's adorable.

here it is! )

I had an awesome Latin professor this term, who liked to use elephants as much as possible in his examples. So I made an elephant.

Elephantus meus, and a snowman. )

Hi all,

I really enjoy crocheting and knitting, though I don't know how to use graphs to create patterns--I was especially intrigued by the graphs on ravelry and here for the ABC quilt, but again, I don't know how to work with them. Any advice?

I'm also interested in knowing more about the little crocheted animals, etc., that many of you are creating. Where would I learn to start working in 3-d? :)

Thanks!

Hi everyone! I'm Dee, I've been watching this community for a while now but have never posted anything so I thought I'd share this with you. It's a blanket I made for my younger cousin, Aisha, for Christmas. She's only 1 so I thought it would be a cute little pram blanket or something. Anyway, hope you all like x
